The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program for international students with good English-language skills. It supplements immersive classes taught in English with just the right amount of support. In the Academic Accelerator, students will receive: The appropriate level of support for their academic and English-speaking needs A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses exclusively for international students English-language assistance with necessary vocabulary for classes A mix of classes with both international and U.S. students The LSU College of Music and Dramatic Arts is a performing arts community that trains, cultivates, prepares, and rewards excellent artists, educators, scholars, and performers, fostering passion for the arts, collaboration, and the creation of new works. The college engages with the community to enhance collective communication abilities with expressive power and purpose. The Bachelor of Music degree is offered in various areas of concentration, including Brass, Composition, Harp, Organ, Percussion, Piano, Piano Pedagogy, Strings, Voice, and Woodwind. This degree is designed to prepare students for performance careers, with many graduates continuing their studies at the master’s level at LSU or other esteemed institutions.
