The Extended Accelerator Program (EAP) combines language, culture, and academics to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of life inside and outside the American classroom. It includes personalized English-language instruction and tutoring. Students in the Extended Accelerator Program will receive: A contextual curriculum that integrates language, culture, and academics Exclusive access to a course focusing on life in the U.S. and the local community A full year’s worth of college credits Extensive English-language tutoring, academic advising, and student support Personalized English-language support tailored to the classes they are taking The LSU Theatre program strives to support its students in various ways, offering rigorous training in performance practices, stage history and literature, and the development of critical, conceptual, and argumentative skills essential to a liberal arts education. The program aims to prepare graduates for careers in both professional and educational theatre, recognizing that theatre is interconnected with broader cultural trends and practices. The program promotes a global perspective on performance, with production skills training designed to cultivate an understanding of contemporary intellectual and political discourse. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Physical Theatre is designed for students interested in physical approaches to performance. Training encompasses a range of techniques, from aerial work to contact improvisation to the creation of physical theatre showcased at international arts festivals. The Physical Theatre curriculum includes: Stage Movement (I & II) Viewpoints Dance (ballet, modern, jazz) Aerial Practice (I & II)
