The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program designed for international students with strong English-language skills. It complements immersive classes taught in English with appropriate support tailored to individual needs. As a student in the Academic Accelerator, individuals will benefit from: Tailored support for academic and English-language requirements A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses exclusively for international students Assistance with English vocabulary essential for coursework A diverse range of classes with both international and U.S. students The LSU Theatre program is committed to providing comprehensive training in performance practices, stage history and literature, and the development of critical thinking and communication skills essential for a liberal arts education. The program aims to prepare graduates for careers in professional and educational theatre, while also emphasizing the importance of theatre as a reflection of and participant in broader cultural trends. The Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Design/Technology offers specialized courses and hands-on experience through design and technical production assignments within the School of Theatre. Students also have the opportunity to collaborate with professional designers through the School’s partnership with Swine Palace, a professional Equity theatre company. The Design/Tech curriculum includes: Portfolio Presentation Drafting Theatrical Rendering Design courses specific to the chosen area of concentration
