The Academic Accelerator Program (AAP) is a balanced first-year program designed for international students with strong English-language skills. It provides additional support to complement English-taught classes, ensuring students have the necessary assistance to succeed. Students enrolled in the Academic Accelerator Program can expect: Tailored support for academic and English language needs A full year’s worth of college credits Access to courses specifically designed for international students English language assistance for class-related vocabulary A diverse mix of classes with both international and U.S. students In the Bachelor of Arts in International Studies program, students will gain a comprehensive understanding of global issues with a focus on a specific geographic region or area of interest, such as global diplomacy. The program offers opportunities for study abroad experiences and in-depth exploration of language and culture within the chosen region. Concentrations within the BA International Studies program include: Africa Asia Environment and Development Europe Global Cultures Global Diplomacy Global Studies Latin America Middle East The Global Cultures concentration delves into arts, folklore, religious practices, and literature from various cultures worldwide, emphasizing the interconnectedness of cultures through migration, colonialism, and diasporas.
