The 4-term program offers successful students guaranteed progression to London South Bank University. Students will study their Foundation program at the ONCampus London South Bank University Centre located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. The program consists of English language during the first 0.5 term, with some academic content included. The program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at London South Bank University. All students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP) are guaranteed placement on a suitable program of undergraduate study at London South Bank University. The Undergraduate Foundation Program is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week, with half a term of English language. On average, students will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. English Language forms up to six hours of the timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if additional support is needed. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable. Progression is available to the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) - Building Services Engineering program. More than half of graduates working in the building services engineering field in the United Kingdom have been educated at London South Bank University. With over 60 years of expertise in this area, the course is designed to equip students with the technical know-how and communication and management skills to be effective leaders in this specialist sector. Building services engineering covers the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of all the components that make a building safe, comfortable, energy-efficient, and functional. The field is in high demand and set to grow as building designs evolve to become more sustainable. The BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering program is designed to equip students with the technical, management, and communication skills needed to be effective leaders of teams involved in the design of building services and energy conservation in buildings. This course is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) and the Energy Institute as meeting the requirements for Incorporated Engineer status.
