Join the 3-Term Pathway in Engineering and Physical Sciences at London South Bank University. Guaranteed progression to Bachelor of Science! Apply now!
The 3-term program offers successful students guaranteed progression to London South Bank University. The Foundation program will be studied at the ONCampus London South Bank University Centre, located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. This extended program is available for students who do not meet the required English language level for the 3-term pathway. It consists of 4 terms, including an English language module (ELPP) followed by 3 terms of the Undergraduate Foundation Program (UFP). The program is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at London South Bank University. Upon successful completion of the UFP, all students are guaranteed placement on a suitable undergraduate program at the university. The UFP is set at level 3, equivalent to A-level standard in the United Kingdom. The academic year starts with an English language module, followed by three terms consisting of seven to eight teaching weeks, one examination week, and half a term of English language. Students can expect to have 21 to 25 hours of classroom-based study per week on average. English Language is a mandatory component of the timetable, with up to six hours allocated for students who require additional support. It will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects and taught separately as needed. Students who meet or exceed the required English level may have a reduced timetable. Progression to Bachelor of Science (Honors) - Quantity Surveying For those seeking a professional career in the construction industry, quantity surveying is an ideal choice. Quantity surveyors ensure projects meet legal and quality standards while delivering value for clients. Due to a current shortage of quantity surveyors, there is a high demand for professionals in this field. The curriculum includes technology, property law, project management, organizational structure, and cost control – essential skills for quantity surveyors. The comprehensive construction curriculum prepares students for management roles within the industry. Course topics include management and business practice, law, economics, construction technology and materials, measurement, and project management. Students have the option to participate in an industry placement during their third year.
