Program Description This 3.5-term programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to London South Bank University. You will study your Foundation programme at the ONCampus LSBU Centre located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. 3.5 term programmes consist of English language during the first 0.5 term although some academic content may be included. This programme is designed to prepare international students, who have completed senior secondary education, for entry to undergraduate studies at London South Bank University. All students who successfully complete the Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) are guaranteed placement on a suitable programme of undergraduate study at London South Bank University. The UFP is set at level 3, which is equivalent to A-level standard in the UK. The year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks and one examination week, and half a term of English language. On average, you will undertake 21 (and up to 25) hours of classroom-based study per week. English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if you need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable. Progress to Bachelor of Science (Honours) - Civil Engineering Civil engineering is all about designing, building and maintaining things that can change the world. Roads, bridges, canals, dams and buildings have all played an integral role in how the human race has developed. Accredited by the Engineering Council, this course is the first step to becoming a qualified Chartered Civil Engineer. You'll study theory and practice relating to the many diverse areas of civil engineering. The course covers: Mathematics Fluid Mechanics Construction Practice Engineering Surveying Materials and Geology Building Information Modelling (BIM) and Design Soil Mechanics Structures Environmental Engineering
