Program Description This 3.5 term programme offers successful students guaranteed progression to Year 2 of their degree. You will study your Foundation programme at our Centre located at the heart of the London South Bank University campus. This programme is designed for international students who do not quite have the academic grades and/or English level to start the first year of an undergraduate degree at London South Bank University, but have a stronger profile than a Undergraduate Foundation Pathway student. All students who successfully complete the International Year One are guaranteed progression to Year 2 of a business-related undergraduate degree at London South Bank University. This programme is set at level 4, and is equivalent to the first year of an undergraduate business degree in the UK. 3.5 term programmes consist of English language during the first 0.5 term although some academic content may be included. The rest of the year is divided into three terms of seven to eight teaching weeks, one reading week, and an examination week. On average, you will undertake 23 (and up to 28) hours of classroom-based study per week. English Language forms up to six hours of your timetable, is compulsory for students who are below the required level for progression, and will be integrated into the teaching of academic subjects as well as being taught separately if you need additional support. Students who are at or above the required English level for progression are likely to follow a reduced timetable. Continue to Bachelor of Arts (Honours) - Economics This Economics course is versatile and an ideal route into marketing, sales, advertising, IT, education or further studies. The degree gives you a strong foundation in economic analysis, a fundamental part of today's global finances. The course is accredited by the IOEE. The School has Centre of Excellence status with the IOEE, in recognition of our entrepreneurial culture and leading-edge practice. LSBU holds close professional links with the Centre for International Business Studies and guest speakers are invited to reflect on a range of disciplines. During your third year you'll have the option to spend a year in industry, working in a business or economics-focused environment. This could be in the UK or overseas.
