Program Description This program consists of a pathway program offered by StudyGroup at the International Study Centre at the University of Sussex followed by entry into a university program offered at the University of Sussex. In the International Year One programme, you will study courses related to your intended field of study alongside English to develop and enhance your skills as a student. Advancement into your intended program depends upon the successful completion of the pathway program. The Pre-Masters in Business, Media and Social Sciences, provides a route to a variety of postgraduate degrees at the University of Sussex. English language and career skills are combined with subject-specific modules such as social sciences, cultural studies, and a variety of business skills such as accounting, finance and business management to provide you with a strong foundation for your chosen business, media and social sciences degree. Criminal law and criminal justice lie at the heart of questions around how we as a society respond to crime. During a Master of Law in Criminal Law and Criminal Justice, you’ll study an exciting range of topics. You’ll engage in advanced criminal law theory, as well as criminological theory to examine how societies can better understand and respond to crime. Our research expertise informs our teaching on the LLM. You’ll learn from experts in their fields. Our faculty publish journal articles, books and public reports shaping the fields of criminal law, criminal justice studies and criminology. You’ll be taught by lecturers who specialise in critical work, in areas including: criminal law theory comparative criminal justice terrorism and international crimes financial crimes human rights and criminal justice hate crime sexual offending policing and restorative justice. Study in a lively and interdisciplinary intellectual environment, giving you the advantage of a wide-ranging knowledge set. This course draws on expertise from the Department of Sociology, which will enable you to develop an interdisciplinary perspective.
